RAFIX
RAFIX is a high-performance fiber-reinforced mortar designed for the restoration of structurally damaged or corroded concrete. Formulated with high-yield cement selected aggregates synthetic fibers and advanced additives it provides enhanced durability improved appearance and structural integrity.
This thixotropic shrinkage-compensated mortar offers minimized cracking during curing ensuring long-term stability. Conforming to EN 1504-3 RAFIX is suitable for use on columns balconies beams floors and other concrete structures requiring precise and durable repairs.
Surface Preparation
Remove all loose debris from around the rebar until a sound layer of concrete is visible. Clean the internal rebar either by shotblasting or wire brushing. The rebar and concrete must be clean dry and free from contamination and dust. Apply RAFER according to the application instructions and allow it to cure for 3–4 hours.
Application
RAFIX should be mixed with a paddle mixer on a low-speed setting. Use eye protection and a dust mask at all times. Mix in a clean bucket using approximately 5–6 litres of clean water per 25 kg bag. Mix the product until a smooth lump-free mortar is achieved.
Apply RAFIX by trowel to a maximum depth of 30 mm and allow 2–3 hours to cure. Apply two additional layers at 30 mm each if required up to a total maximum depth of 90 mm.
Recommendations
- Do not apply RAFIX on damp or wet surfaces.
- Do not apply when temperatures are below +5°C or above +35°C.
- Do not dilute RAFIX with more than the specified quantity of water.
